We are very happy to share amazing news with you, the Association of Scouts of Azerbaijan, with support of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan is organizing 2nd international readiness camp for humanitarian action in Shusha, Azerbaijan – Cultural capital of Turkic World 2023. This is going to be second camp for adult volunteers and the main topics are going to be as below:

  1. Humanitarian action
  2. Search and Rescue
  3. Orienteering
  4. Amateur radio
  5. Post conflict restoration
  6. Modern city planning

Moreover, we are happy to announce, that we have a grant to support some of you in participation in the amazing camp (based on applications you can be offered from 50% to 100% grant for covering your travel expenses).

Dates of the camp: 21-27 August 2023

Brief info – Shusha was liberated from 28 years occupation on November 8th 2020. Being under occupation for a long period, most of historical parts of the city were destroyed. However, Shusha city is now announced as a historical and architectural reserve site and many restoration works are going at the moment in Shusha and the rest of Karabakh.

Shusha has already hosted many international and national events including 1st International readiness camp for Humanitarian Action in 2022. (You can see videos from the following links:

The main goal of the international camp is to organize specific trainings to acquire special skills in humanitarian action, search and rescue as well as get the knowledge of post conflict restoration and how we do the Urban Planning in the region of Karabakh.
